This database was provided by the Montana State Human
Resources Division on August 17, 2009, replacing an
earlier database which included only gross compensation.
Representatives of the HR Division expressed concern in
July 2009 that the gross compensation data, which included
travel reimbursements, certain benefits, and other non-
salary compensation, was misleading and asked that the
database be taken down. This the database HRD has
provided to replace the earlier database, which should
more accurately reflect public employee compensation in
Montana.

Attached is the revised spreadsheet. The revised spreadsheet contains the salary information for the employees in executive branch agencies. The salary information includes the 2008 base wage and the longevity benefit. The longevity benefit is additional money an employee receives based on the number of years of service.
